Course description:

This course will offer students the opportunity to attain the required competencies from a comprehensive range of core, stream and elective units that will prepare them through skill acquisition, underpinning knowledge and practical experience. Students will be able to distinguish the many pathways to a successful career in sport. On successful completion of the Diploma of Sport (Development) graduates can gain employment as: a Head Coach, work within sport and recreation organisations, or go on to further study a sports degree at university.

Entry requirements:

Students from India should have completed Higher Secondary School Standard XII with good grades. Bangladesh students must have completed Higher Secondary School with average of 55 percent. Chinese students must have completed Year 12 with good grades. Malaysian students should have completed STPM pass grades in two major subjects, or MICSS UEC good grades in four major subjects or SACE, or OSSD (OAC subjects). Students from Singapore should have completed GCE ‘A’ level pass grades in two academic subjects and Japanese students must have completed Year 12 Kotogakko with very good grades. They should also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL (paper): 525, TOEFL (computer): 195, TOEIC: 700, Cambridge: FCE “C”, O-levels English: C6, A-levels English: D7, HKCEE Syllabus: C, HKALE: D and SPM: C6.
