Course description:
Those who have completed Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice HLT 40307 are eligible to enrol in this upgrade. This course provides graduates with the knowledge and expertise to identify and manage a range of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries and to assist with the prevention of such injuries. Techniques covered include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, seated and pregnancy massage, facilitated stretching, lymphatic drainage, sports massage techniques, joint mobilization techniques and myofascial release and advanced remedial techniques just to name a few. Please refer to the Diploma of Remedial Massage Course Sheet. A first aid course from an accredited provider must be completed prior to completion of this qualification if not already completed or expired. (Approximate cost $120). This qualification is assessed through practical, written and oral assessments, case studies and assignments. Upon successful completion of the upgrade students will be eligible for a HLT50307 Diploma of Remedial Massage.
