I think it is very meaningful for young people to have international study experience. And if you come here to study, you should do your best and study hard and pass your exams and get results. At the same time, you should leave enough leisure to take part in some activities organized by university which would help you understand university life and also living in australia. This would make you more comfortable with your surroundings.
Selection process and gaining admission
I got great help from Deakin University staff and my mentor. He told me to start my course and guided me throughout the process and also helped me how to use the library facilities for my studies. There were some activities organized by university community where i made a lot of friends from my country as well as from other nations. This made my study and living in deakin comfortable and happier.Obtaining visa was never a problem but i suggest its bettter to apply earlier.
Funding and scholarships
I have never heard about scholarship. Its better to secure your finances instead of relying on scholarship.
Your study experience
My course is very difficult and i have to put enough time to understand concepts. My teachers are very nice and they are happy to answer our questions and help us.Studing accounting in deakin is always valuable as we have the best faculty in autralia and the lecturers are exceptionally good. The support offered by tutors and lecturers motivates us to do well in exams. The course is value for money only if you are ready to work hard.
Your life experience
Deakin has a beautiful campus with the best of facilities offered to its student.Local people are very nice and friendly.I am happy here and enjoying my stay at deakin and loving university life.I stay with my relatives here so accommodation has never been a problem, but if you are looking for accommodation there are plenty available. It is easy to find a part time job here.I have joined clubs and societies here and like to chat with international guys.
Job prospects
Yes i think i developed my knowledge and job prospect have increased.I am planning to go back to my country and work there when i graduate.I hope what i have studied would be helpful for me in future and my career.I have not attended any alumni meetings or gathering but i know that they are held and anyone interested can go for these.
