rating

rating

Its a good course giving a well-rounded grounding in science and a useful starting point for a range of careers and further studies within any discipline of science or related fields.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

Walk in enrolment. Initially tried to enrol at Bankstown campus but they cancelled the course and the only other option for full-time was Campbelltown.

ratingFunding and scholarships

Can get Youth Allowance for full-time study of the course, make sure you apply early. Can also do course for free if on Youth Allowance or other Centrelink benefit.

ratingYour study experience

Study load can be busy but you learn a lot. The class size at Campbelltown campus is small and friendly which is nice. Some assignments have been tricky due to poorly written instructions.

ratingYour life experience

I've met some really interesting people in the class and the facilities are quite good (although heating/cooling in the lab was sometimes a problem). The campus is on a beautiful piece of land shared with UWS.

ratingJob prospects

Doesn't seem to be many opportunities with only this course but continuing onto certificate 4 and diploma level opens up a good range of job prospects and a pathway into university studies.
