I am enjoying the climate, the people and the study culture in Melbourne and here at Deakin University. My advice to the prospective students is come here to study and enjoy your life.
I got my admission through an agent called IDP from my country. The process was easy and simple, it didnt take a very long time too.
I did not apply for scholarships because i did not know about the eligibility and criteria for getting one. My dad helps me to pay my fees. Working part time can help you pay atleast one semester fees.
I am studying M.B.A. The best bit about my studies are that it is not theoretical but are practical instead. The teachers i think are excellent. They use powerpoint presentation and slides to teach us. I study for 6 hours per week. This much of study is enough if you attend the lectures.
We have vast facilities for the students which include, the internet, library, food, study guide, different students union to join. Yes, i am working at the moment, but it is difficult to get a good part time job. The place where i live is cheap as well as safe. There are several clubs and groups where the students can join, i have joined some too. And we do have a student union/association too.
I believe that my job prospects have become better. After finishing my studies, i am looking forward to working in Australia. I dont think we have an alumni association.
