William Angliss Institute was established in 1940 and is Australia’s largest and oldest specialist government-funded TAFE Institute providing training for the hospitality, tourism and food industries on a global scale. It is located in the central business district of Melbourne and enrols around 17,000 Australian students and 1,800 international students annually. Courses are available at the certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and bachelor degree level with global study opportunities.

Apart from the main campus in Melbourne, the Institute has joint campuses in Hangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing, China.  In partnership with RMIT International University, courses are also offered in Vietnam.

In 2007, a huge 96.3 per cent of William Angliss Institute graduates found work, or went on to further study within six months of completing their course (National Centre for Vocational Education Research-Student Outcomes Survey 2007). This success rate is approximately seven per cent greater than the State and National average for all vocational, education and training providers.
